World Book Day Offer from Amazon*

World

Amazon celebrates World Book Day 2021 with a limited-time offer where Kindle readers can read upto ten free e-books. These books are translations of stories from diverse countries that include Japan, Argentina, and China. For example,  'A Single Swallow' by award-winning author Zhang Ling is the English translation of Ling's Chinese novel about the devastation of war, forgiveness, redemption, and the enduring power of love. 'The Son and Heir: A Memoir' prize-winning Dutch journalist Alexander Münninghoff's unflinching memoir of his life growing up amid post–World War II Europe and discovering that he was the son of a Nazi. 'The Strange Journey of Alice Pendelbury' by Marc Levy, the best-selling French author, is a "witty and beguiling novel of one woman's unexpected journey to follow her destiny."

The one children's book that makes it to the list is the English translation of the Argentinian book 'Some Days’ by María Wernicke who has both written and illustrated this beautiful picture book about the moving story of family, security, and loss. Wernicke has won several awards, including being nominated for the 2020 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.

The offer starts at 2 a.m. (PDT) on April 15, 2021, and ends at 11:59 p.m. (PDT) on April 24, 2021. Readers will need a Kindle device or the Kindle App to read the books.

Please note that Kids Must Read is not affiliated with Amazon in any way, and we highlight this offer hoping to introduce your children and family to a range of books from across the world that are good reads to mark World Book Day that falls on April 23.
